Anyone using Torque Pro to monitor transmission temp? I selected to monitor it connected to my Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L, set it up to monitor transmission temp using method #2 in the menu and it is monitoring coolant temp instead. There's no temp regulation mechanism, so no surprise trans temps vary quite a lot depending on ambient conditions. The Torque Pro app is an On Board Diagnostic reader which can show you real-time information about your vehicle's health.

You simply plug in the adapter to your OBD2 port and blue-tooth the info to your smart phone. I have a 2000 Yukon XL, and Torque doesn't show trans temp for me, ether. When your warning light for your transmission is showing up on your dashboard, it’s time to stop and let it cool for a while. I have done some research to create a "custom PID" in the application to read the sensor but I can't seem to get it to work.

It is not near as nicely put together or user friendly so I stick with Torque Pro for most things, but Car Gauge Pro is nice to have for those specific needs.

I think this is part of the GM extended PID set that you can access thru the Torque main menu. I hooked it up to the RL and to my surprise I could not get the engine air temperature or the water temperature to display. Well 2 turned up a negative temperature, I don't know about you, but I don't think the ATF is at negative 40 degrees :lol: SP, I've never monitored trans temps. Hit the button with the three dots at the top and select "Add Predefined Set", then pick the GM PIDs.
